Willamsburg Colroado 81226
For those who know the general area Williamsburg is just South of State highway 115 up McCumber hill. The area is primarily dry and rocky. Many of the area residence have views of the South side of Pikes Peak and of the Upper Arkansas River Valley.
Part of the “Tri City Area” Williamsburg is often confused with neighboring towns, Coal Creek and Rockvale. Each town has between 400 and 500 residence. Local children attend Fremont County Schools primarily in Florence.
If you are looking for a new home in Fremont County look in the Williamsburg, Coal Creek and Rockvale area. The home prices are normally less on average than the homes in Canon City. And most (not all) properties are sustainably larger than those in Canon City.
The areas of Rockvale, Williamsburg and Coal Creek are lovingly referred to as the “Tri City” area of Fremont County. Each has apporx 400 people. Just South of Canon City and slightly South Wast of Florence this area has a long and varied history that includes : John D. Rockefeller, mining, professional baseball teams, historic fires, oil wells, wild life and generations of families that still live in the area. Nestled against Chandler Mesa it’s easy to get to the area off of Hwy #115 up McCumber hill or out of Florence on County Rd 13A. If you know the area well enough you can go ‘around Chandler’ from the Oak Creek area.
